Privacy at Aiden AI

Who holds it

Aiden Labs Inc. is the data controller for Aiden AI. Our database is hosted in the United States, and the providers listed below may process your data in the United States or elsewhere. If you are writing to us from Canada or elsewhere, this is a cross-border transfer and we are telling you plainly so you can decide.

What happens to your session

• Voice sessions run through our voice provider, ElevenLabs. It converts your speech to text and Aiden’s replies to speech, and keeps the audio and transcript of the session under our account. Our ElevenLabs settings also allow session transcripts to be sent on to other services connected to our account. We do not state a deletion period for this site, so assume ElevenLabs keeps the audio and transcript until they are deleted.
• What you say, typed or spoken, is sent to our AI model provider, Anthropic, to generate Aiden’s replies and, at the end of a session, your written recap. Anthropic may keep these requests under its own terms and data policies, for example to review safety. We have not confirmed how long it keeps them, we do not control that, and we will not tell you no record exists.
• Without an account, this site keeps nothing from your conversation. The transcript and recap live in your browser tab and are gone when you leave. Aiden does not remember you between sessions and does not build a profile of you. The one exception: if you sign up from the end screen with the save box checked, that recap and transcript are held temporarily before your account exists, as described under “If you create an account” below.
• If the end screen offers to download your recap, the file is made in your browser from the recap only, never the transcript, and saved straight to your device. It is not sent to us or anyone else; after that it is yours to keep or delete.
• We count visits and sessions with an anonymous id stored in a cookie for 30 days, along with the link you arrived from, whether you used voice or text, and how long the session ran. These counts are kept in our database, Supabase. We have not verified a retention period for them. Never what you said.
• Your email address, only if you choose to leave it for early access. It is held by our email provider, Klaviyo, and used only to tell you about Aiden. Your Klaviyo profile is tagged with the anonymous visit id and the link you arrived from, so your sign-up can be connected to the visit counts above.

If you create an account

• Your account is your email address, held by our database provider, Supabase. Sign-in links are sent through Supabase’s sign-in service and the email delivery service connected to it.
• The sign-up form has a box, checked unless you uncheck it: “Save this recap and transcript to your account for future conversations.” If it is checked, the recap and the full text transcript of the session you just had are saved, and Aiden reads your latest recaps at the start of later sessions so it can build on them. Recaps and transcripts can contain sensitive things you chose to say.
• Temporary holding: between submitting the form and opening your sign-in link, that recap and transcript are held in our database under a random, signed id. Opening the link moves them into your account and removes the held copy. After two hours the held copy can no longer be claimed or read. It is physically deleted only when the database next holds a new sign-up recap, claims a held one, or stores a new voice snapshot. A plain sign-in, opening an expired link, or a voice session with no saved recaps does not trigger it, so an expired copy can stay in the database, unreadable, for an unpredictable time before it is removed. If the box is unchecked, nothing from the session is held, only your choice. A new account starts with memory off; an existing account keeps its memory setting.
• With memory on, starting a voice session copies your latest recaps into a short-lived snapshot so Aiden can read them during the call. It can no longer be read after 20 minutes and is physically deleted by the same activities described above, not on a timer.
• Memory off stops anything new from being saved and stops Aiden reading your recaps in later sessions. Turning memory off, correcting or deleting a recap, or deleting your account applies from your next session. A voice call already in progress may keep using the recaps it read when it started, until it ends, and what was already sent to our AI provider during that call is covered by the provider terms above. Recaps you already have stay on your account page until you delete them.
• On your account page you can read every recap and transcript, including older ones and any transcript saved without a recap, correct a recap (Aiden uses your correction from then on), delete any of them, or delete your whole account and everything in it. Deleting a recap also deletes its transcript. Deletion removes them from our database. It does not reach copies a provider already kept under the provider terms above.
• We keep saved recaps and transcripts until you delete them or your account. No audio is stored by this site.

What Aiden never asks for

Aiden does not ask about diagnoses, medical conditions, or medications, and does not give medical advice or dosing prescriptions. If you volunteer health information anyway, please do not, and ask us to delete it.

We do not sell your data

Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone.

Who we share with

Only the vendors that make the product run: our hosting provider (Vercel), our database and sign-in provider (Supabase, which sends sign-in links through the email delivery service connected to it), our email provider for early access (Klaviyo), our voice provider (ElevenLabs), and the AI model provider that generates Aiden’s replies (Anthropic). Each handles your data under its own terms with us. We have not independently verified how long each one keeps it or what else each may use it for, so this page does not promise more than it describes.

Deleting everything

Email privacy@withaiden.com and ask us to delete your data. We remove your email address and your account, and delete any voice session we can match to you from our ElevenLabs account; copies a provider already kept under its own terms may not disappear immediately. Your account page lets you delete your saved recaps, transcripts or whole account yourself; that removes them from our database but does not delete voice records held by ElevenLabs. Deleted data can remain in our database provider’s backups until those backups expire; we have not confirmed that period. No retention argument, no dark pattern.

Age

Aiden AI is for adults 21 and over. We ask you to confirm before your first session and we do not knowingly keep data from anyone younger.
